Day 1: Arrival Yangon: City Tour (half-day)

You will be picked up at the Airport to transfer you to your hotel in Yangon. After check-in at your hotel your half-day city tour starts visiting the Chauk Htat Gyi Buddha Temple - one of the most revered reclining Buddha images in Myanmar. After a quick photo stop at the Karaweik Hall on Kandawgyi Lake, you will arrive to Yangon's downtown area. Amble past the Bogyoke (Scott) Market, which offers a wide range of food, clothes, handicraft and gem stores. Then you will visit the Sule Pagoda, which was built over 2.000 years ago. Your last stop is the Shwedagon Pagoda, not only known as Myanmar's most precious sight, but also the most sacred pagoda in the whole country. Please note, that Scott Market is closed on mondays and public holidays.

If your flight arrives late in the afternoon/evening, the half-day city tour will be in the morning time on day 2.

Day 2: Yangon - Inle-Lake

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel in Yangon to catch the bus to Nyaung Shwe (Inle-Lake). Upon arrival at the bus station, we provide a private transfer to your hotel in Nyaung Shwe (Inle-Lake).

Day 3: Inle-Lake: Boat trip

Your excursion starts in the morning time. Enjoy a comfortable trip by boat on the Inle-Lake, known for its leg rowers, floating villages and gardens. You will gain insight to the everyday life of the Intha, who mostly live in wooden houses built on tall stilts, and learn about their methods of fishing and gardening. Afterwards, you will visit the Hpaung Daw U Pagoda and the silk weaving village Inpawkhon. Here artisans produce one of the most expensive and rarest textiles in the world: silk made from lotus flowers. Depending on the water level, you will pass by the western shore of the Inle-Lake afterwards and visit the Indein Pagoda complex, where hundreds of impressive stupas are slowly being reclaimed by nature.

Day 4: Inle-Lake - Bagan

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Nyaung Shwe bus station to take the bus to Bagan. Upon arrival, your driver will drop you off at your hotel in Bagan.

Day 5: Bagan: Temple Tour

Your temple tour starts in the morning time. Stroll around the colorful local market before visiting the most significant temples and pagodas around Bagan. The Shwezigon Pagoda, which was built by King Anawratha in early 11th century, enshrines a number of sacred Buddhist relics. The oldest original paintings in Bagan can be found at Gubyaukgyi Temple. Get the best panoramic views of the whole area at the Bulethi Pagoda, before visiting the Ananda Temple with its four magnificent gilded Buddha statues. Continue your tour after lunch break at a local restaurant to Myinkaba village, famous for its traditional lacquerware handicrafts.
Visit the Mon-style Manuha Temple and the Nanpaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument, afterwards. Enjoy a panoramic sunset view either at Bupaya Pagoda or Shwesandaw Pagoda right by the Ayeyarwady River.

Day 6: Bagan

Today is at your leisure. Rent a bicycle to explore ancient Bagan or enjoy a hot air balloon ride over the temples of Bagan,

Day 7: Bagan - Mandalay

Pick up at your hotel in Bagan to take the bus to Mandalay. Upon arrival in Mandalay, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 8: Mandalay: Excursion Amarapura, Innwa & Sagaing

You will get picked up at your hotel after breakfast to drive to Amarapura. There you will visit Mahagandayon, a well-known Buddhist Monastery, where over thousands monks live and study. One of Myanmar's most popular spots to take photos at is the U-Bein Bridge, the longest wooden teak bridge in the world. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will take the boat to the former Royal Capital of Innwa (Ava). Join the adventurous ride on a horse cart and visit the Nanmyint Watch Tower and Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery. Further, you will see lots of unique and artful wood carvings when visiting the Bagaya Monastery. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere at Sagaing Hill, offering you the most beautiful sunset by the Ayeyarwady River. After your excursion, you will get dropped off at your hotel in Mandalay.

Day 9: Mandalay

Today is at your leisure. If you have a flight from Mandalay Airport, your driver will drop you off there after check-out at your hotel.
