Day 1 - Arrival Yangon: City Tour (Half-Day)

On this half-day city tour you visit the spectacular sights in Yangon. Your first stop is the Chauk Htat Gyi Buddha Temple - one of the most revered reclining Buddha images in Myanmar. Visit the Shwedagon Pagoda afterwards, not only known as Myanmar's most precious sight, but also the most sacred pagoda in the whole country. Upon arrival in Yangon's bustling downtown area, amble past Bogyoke (Scott) Market, which offers a wide range of food, clothes, handicraft and gem stores. The last two stops are the ancient Sule Pagoda, which was built over 2.000 years ago, and the Botahtaung Pagoda, located right next to the Yangon River.

If your flight arrives late in the afternoon/evening, the half-day city tour is offered in the morning time on day 2.

Day 2 - Flight Yangon - Heho (Inle Lake)

After check out at your hotel, you will be picked up to catch the flight to Heho (Inle Lake). Upon arrival in Heho, we provide a private transfer to your hotel in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 3 - Inle Lake: Boat trip

Your excursion starts in the morning time. Enjoy a comfortable trip by boat on the Inle Lake, known for its leg rowers, floating villages and gardens. You will gain insight into the everyday life of the Intha, who mostly live in wooden houses built on tall stilts, and learn about their methods of fishing and gardening. Afterwards, you will visit the Hpaung Daw U Pagoda and the silk weaving village Inpawkhon. Here artisans produce one of the most expensive and rarest textiles in the world: silk made from lotus flowers. Depending on the water level, you will pass by the western shore of the Inle Lake afterwards and visit the Indein Pagoda complex, where hundreds of impressive stupas are slowly being reclaimed by nature.

Day 4 - Flight Heho - Nyaung-U (Bagan)

After check out at your hotel, transfer to Heho Airport to catch the flight to Nyaung-U (Bagan). Upon arrival, your driver will drop you off at your hotel in Bagan. Today is at your leisure.

Day 5 - Bagan: Temple Tour (Full-Day)

Your temple tour starts in the morning time. Stroll around the colorful local market before visiting the most significant temples and pagodas around Bagan. The Shwezigon Pagoda, which was built by King Anawratha in the early 11th century, enshrines a number of sacred Buddhist relics. The oldest original paintings in Bagan can be found at Gubyaukgyi Temple. Get the best panoramic views of the whole area at the Bulethi Pagoda, before visiting the Ananda Temple with its four magnificent gilded Buddha statues. Continue your tour after lunch break at a local restaurant to Myinkaba village, famous for its traditional lacquerware handicrafts.
Visit the Mon-style Manuha Temple and the Nanpaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument, afterwards. Enjoy a panoramic sunset view at Bupaya Pagoda right by the Ayeyarwady River.

Day 6 - Bagan - Mandalay

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up to transfer you to your hotel in Mandalay. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 7 - Mandalay: Excursion Amarapura, Innwa & Sagaing

You will get picked up at your hotel after breakfast to drive to Amarapura. There you will visit Mahagandayon, a well-known Buddhist Monastery, where over a thousand monks live and study. One of Myanmar's most popular spots to take photos at is the U-Bein Bridge, the longest wooden teak bridge in the world. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will take the boat to the former Royal Capital of Innwa (Ava). Join the adventurous ride on a horse cart and visit the Nanmyint Watch Tower and Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery. Further, you will see lots of unique and artful wood carvings when visiting the Bagaya Monastery. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere at Sagaing Hill, offering you the most beautiful sunset by the Ayeyarwady River. After your excursion, you will get dropped off at your hotel in Mandalay.

Day 8 - Departure Mandalay

Today is at your leisure. If you have a flight from Mandalay Airport, your driver will drop you off there after check out at your hotel.
