Myanmar Ever Present Past Tour

Day 1 - Arrival Yangon

You will be picked up at the Airport to transfer you to your hotel in Yangon. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2 - Yangon: Full Day City Tour

On this full day city tour, you visit the spectacular sights of Yangon. Your first stop is the Chauk Htat Gyi Buddha Temple - one of the most revered reclining Buddha images in Myanmar. After a quick photo stop at the Karaweik Hall located on Kandawgyi Lake, you visit the Shwedagon Pagoda, not only known as Myanmar's most precious sight but also the most sacred pagoda in the whole country. While visiting the National Museum you get to see the lion throne and the Royal Regalia of Mandalay exhibited. Amble past Bogyoke (Scott) Market afterwards, which offers a wide range of food, clothes, handicraft and gem stores. The last two stops are the ancient Sule Pagoda, which was built over 2.000 years ago, and the Botathaung Pagoda, located right next to the Yangon River.

Day 3 - Yangon - Bago - Naypyidaw

Before heading to Myanmar's capital city, you visit the interesting sights of Bago, housing lots of historical sites worth visiting. First, you see the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, only one spire taller than the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. Before Lunch, head to Kanbawzathadi Palace, where visitors get a lot of information about the rich history of the Mon-State. See one of the most beautiful reclining Buddha statues in Myanmar - the 55 meters long Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha. In the afternoon you arrive at the Kyaik Pun Pagoda, known for its four towering images of Buddha. Upon arrival in Naypyidaw, transfer to your hotel for check-in.

Day 4 - Naypyidaw - Mandalay

After breakfast at your hotel, we offer you a sightseeing tour of Myanmar's capital city Naypyidaw. First, you visit the Defense Services Museum. Afterwards transfer to the Uppasanti Pagoda, which houses a Buddha tooth relic from China. Furthermore, the Pagoda is an almost replica of the famous Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. After passing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Parliament) and the spectacular 20-lane highway, we transfer you to Mandalay. Upon arrival in Mandalay, the day is at your leisure.

Day 5 - Mandalay: Excursion Amarapura, Innwa & Sagaing

You get picked up at your hotel in Mandalay to drive to Amarapura. There you visit Mahagandayon, a well-known Buddhist Monastery, where over thousands of monks live and study. One of Myanmar's most popular spots to take photos at is the U-Bein Bridge, the longest wooden teak bridge in the world. After lunch at a local restaurant, you visit the former Royal Capital of Innwa. Join a ride on a horse cart and visit the Nanmyint Watch Tower and Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery. Further, you see lots of unique and artful wood carvings when visiting the Bagaya Monastery. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere at Sagaing Hill, offering you the most beautiful sunset by the Irrawaddy River. After your excursion, you get dropped off at your hotel in Mandalay.

Day 6 - Mandalay - Bagan

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up to transfer you to your hotel in Bagan. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 7 - Bagan: Full Day Temple Tour

Your temple tour starts in the morning time. Stroll around the colourful local market before visiting the most significant temples and pagodas around Bagan. The Shwezigon Pagoda, which was built by King Anawratha in the early 11th century, enshrines many sacred Buddhist relics. The oldest original paintings in Bagan can be found at Gubyaukgyi Temple. Furthermore, you visit the Ananda Temple with its four magnificent gilded Buddha statues. Continue your tour in the afternoon after lunch to Myinkaba village, famous for its traditional lacquerware handicrafts. Visit the Mon-style Manuha Temple and the Nanpaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument, afterwards. Enjoy a panoramic sunset view at Bupaya Pagoda right by the Irrawaddy River.

Day 8 - Flight Nyaung U (Bagan) - Yangon

After check-out at your hotel, we transfer you to Nyaung U Airport to catch the flight back to Yangon.
