Day 1 - Flight Yangon - Sittwe, Transfer to Mrauk U

Transfer to Yangon Airport in the early morning to catch the flight to Sittwe, the capital city of Rakhine state. Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the Airport to transfer to Sittwe jetty. The approximately five-hour boat trip to Mrauk U offers you beautiful landscapes along the Kaladan River. Enjoy the sunset before you arrive in Mrauk U in the evening.

Day 2 - Mrauk U: Full Day Sightseeing Tour

Your sightseeing tour in Mrauk U starts right after breakfast. Stroll through the local market before exploring the eastern route out from the central palace area. Visit the Pharaouk Pagoda, Mong Khong Shwe Du Stupa, Pesi Paya and Koe Thaung Temple. After walking around the artificial lake Latt-Say, you will be transferred back to your hotel to take a rest, as it gets very hot during the day. After your break, transfer to the massive Shitthaung Temple, a curiously remarkable temple with numerous Buddha images and reliefs. Htaukkhan-Thein Temple occurs to its remarkable stone sculptures. Other sights you will also visit are Andaw Temple, Ratanabon Stupa, Laymyathanar Temple and Laungbanprauk Pagoda. Enjoy the sunset at Harritaung hill.

Day 3 - Mrauk U: Excursion Chin Villages

After breakfast, transfer to Ngagya jetty from where you will visit the surrounding Chin villages.
The Chin women have their whole faces traditionally covered with tattoos. Several stories are told about the origin of the tattoos, your guide will explain them to you when meeting the Chin women. Walk around the villages and gain insight into the people's lives, as they tell you stories about the traditional Chin culture.

Day 4 - Boat Mrauk U - Sittwe

If time permits, you continue exploring the area of Mrauk U before taking the boat back to Sittwe.

Day 5 - Flight Sittwe - Yangon

Before you catch the flight to Yangon, visit Sittwe Market, where people sell fish and farmig products. Visit the Payagyi Temple, Lawkanandar Pagoda and Mahakuthala monastery afterwards, if time permits.
