Day 1 - Yangon: City Tour (Half-Day)

On this half-day city tour you visit the spectacular sights in Yangon. Your first stop is the Chauk Htat Gyi Buddha Temple - one of the most revered reclining Buddha images in Myanmar. Visit the Shwedagon Pagoda afterwards, not only known as Myanmar's most precious sight, but also the most sacred pagoda in the whole country. Upon arrival in Yangon's bustling downtown area, amble past Bogyoke (Scott) Market, which offers a wide range of food, clothes, handicraft and gem stores. The last two stops are the ancient Sule Pagoda, which was built over 2.000 years ago, and the Botahtaung Pagoda, located right next to the Yangon River.

If your flight arrives late in the afternoon/evening, the half-day city tour is offered in the morning time on day 2.

Day 2 - Flight Yangon - Heho, Transfer to Kalaw

After check out at your hotel, you will be picked up to catch the flight to Heho. Upon arrival in Heho, we provide a transfer to your hotel in Kalaw. The day is at your leisure.

Day 3 - Kalaw

The day is at your leisure. Join an optional soft trekking tour or visit the Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp, an elephant sanctuary which adopts ethical and sustainable standards for its animals.

Day 4 - Kalaw - Pindaya Caves - Nyaung Shwe (Inle Lake)

After breakfast at hotel visit the Pindaya Caves - a unique site housing thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over the last centuries. Afterwards we will provide a private transfer to your hotel in Nyaung Shwe (Inle Lake). The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 5 - Inle Lake: Boat trip

This day you will enjoy a comfortable trip by boat on the Inle Lake, known for its leg rowers, floating villages and gardens. You will gain insight into the everyday life of the Intha, who mostly live in wooden houses built on tall stilts, and learn about their methods of fishing and gardening. Afterwards, you will visit the Hpaung Daw U Pagoda and the silk weaving village Inpawkhon. Here artisans produce one of the most expensive and rarest textiles in the world: silk made from lotus flowers. Depending on the water level, you will pass by the western shore of the Inle Lake afterwards and visit the Indein Pagoda complex, where hundreds of impressive stupas are slowly being reclaimed by nature.

Day 6 - Flight Heho - Nyaung-U (Bagan)

Transfer to Heho airport to catch your flight to Nyaung-U (Bagan). This afternoon is at your leisure.
Explore the area of ancient Bagan by bicycle and stroll around the colorful markets. For beautiful views of the sunset we recommend to visit Bupaya Pagoda right by the Ayeyarwady River.

Day 7 - Bagan: Temple Tour (Half-Day)

Your half-day temple tour starts in the morning time, normally after breakfast. Early birds have the possibility to catch the sunrise above the ancient city of Bagan. Stroll around the colorful local market before visiting the most significant temples and pagodas around Bagan. The Shwezigon Pagoda, which was built by King Anawratha in the early 11th century, enshrines a number of sacred Buddhist relics. The oldest original paintings in Bagan can be found at Gubyaukgyi Temple. Get the best panoramic views of the whole area at the Bulethi Pagoda, before visiting the Ananda Temple with its four magnificent gilded Buddha statues. Continue your tour after lunch break at a local restaurant to Myinkaba village, famous for its traditional lacquerware handicrafts. The afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 8 - Flight Nyaung-U - Yangon

After check-out at your hotel in Bagan, transfer to Nyaung-U Airport to catch the flight back to Yangon. We either provide a private arrival transfer to your hotel in Yangon or to Yangon International Airport, if you take a flight back home.
