In the morning, pick up from your hotel in Bagan by air-conditioned vehicle and start a visit to
colorful Nyaung U market where you will see a lot of seasonal vegetables, fruits and dry goods sold by the local villagers from the nearby villages in Bagan.
Then, transfer to Lawkanandar jetty to visit to
Kyun Thiri Island. You will take a boat for about 5 minutes to cross the Ayeyarwaddy river and then reach to East bank of Kyun Thiri Island.
On arrival at the Island, you will ride on an ox-cart to enter into the village houses. Along the way, you will see the spacious farms and local gardens cultivating peanuts, carrots, chilies, tomatoes and other variety vegetable gardens on both of your left and right side. The ox-cart ride takes about 20 minutes.
After the ride, you will take a short walk along the lanes under the cool and shady trees and meet and greet with the friendly villagers and tour around the village houses and experience the local plantation techniques and their unique way of life styles.
Afterwards, take a relax and enjoy the typical Burmese traditional lunch served from appetizer, main dish to the sweet dessert and learn more about typical Burmese life.
After being possessed by the country field local life, you will transfer back from the Island and drive to Bagan.
On the way, you will visit to
lacquer ware shop which is one of the highlight arts of Bagan. Then, extend your experience with dinner at
Sanon restaurant. The restaurant is a not-for-profit social enterprise restaurant providing training for the regional youth.
After, return to your hotel to conclude your full-day tour around the Bagan countryside.
