From Yangon: 2-Day Hpa-An Caves and Hiking Tour

Day 1
Start early with pickup from your hotel in Yangon at 6:00 am and set off on the 6-hour drive to Hpa-An. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and get ready to explore the main sights in and around idyllic Hpa-An.

Visit the Kaw Goon Cave, famous for the thousands of Buddhas and votive tablets decorating the cave. Marvel at the interior stone wall carvings and mural paintings dating back many centuries.

Next, visit the large Sadan Cave, which is known for its striking entrance with dozens of Buddha statues and wall carvings. Wander through the remarkable cave until you reach the hidden lake, where you enjoy a nice boat ride which will take you back to the front of the cave.

Then, visit to the stunning Kyauk Ka Lat Pagoda, a symbolic pagoda of Hpa-An, located on a rock in the middle of a man-made pond.

After your sightseeing, drive back to the hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 2
Another early start awaits, with a check out from the hotel after breakfast at 6:00 am.

Start hiking with the steep steps towards the top of the Taung Wine Mountain. The hike is not long, but you may take a break to catch your breath and take in the views. The view from the mountain top is priceless and be sure to bring your camera to capture the breathtaking panoramas.

After you have made it back down the mountain and had a little rest to recoup, transfer back to your Yangon accommodation.
